⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!) This restaurant truly feels like home. The flavors reminded me so much of Myanmar – the taste of traditional dishes, the warmth, and the authenticity brought back memories I really missed. Whenever I feel homesick or crave local food, I can easily come here and enjoy the dishes I grew up with. The service is also amazing – everyone is so kind and welcoming. Because of the food and the atmosphere, I find myself coming back here again and again. It’s not just a restaurant, it’s a piece of Myanmar in Bangkok. Highly recommended!
My husband and I had an unforgettable dining experience at this Myanmar restaurant in Bangkok! The vegetarian dishes were absolutely incredible – bursting with authentic flavors and beautifully presented. The staff was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. The presentation of each dish was truly impressive, showing great attention to detail. Highly recommend this spot for anyone seeking delicious vegetarian options with a unique cultural twist!
Weirdly the restaurant decorates itself like a ‘restaurant’ and bar but it gives a cozy, homey feeling when you’re there. I went for a late lunch and the waiters were very attentive (and good-looking even!) Before the food is served, they have a free hot tea while you wait. Food was great. Tea leaves salad was munchy, crunchy with all kinds of nuts they put in. It was a new sensation yet very addicting to chew and refreshing to the tongue. I ordered the Northern noodle (pork) as well. They use a sticky rice noodle which is different from Thai noodle. It really was sticky but still easy to chew. The pork is also cooked differently, it’s like a hard piece of meat. I usually prefer sliced or softer meat but it does taste good and go well with the noodle and soup. I’d give this 10/10. Would love to have a chance to try their drinks too.
Excellent service and authentic Shan cuisine from Myanmar. We had sticky rice noodle in various styles, Mutton and tea leaf salad, Warm tofu noodle. Would recommend all these dishes. Can’t wait to try other dishes in the menu!
I traveled Myanmar sometime ago, and was delighted with and missing burmese food. This place hit every spot. They have all the good stuff - the pennywort salad, banana blossom salad, two versions (hledan and the original) picked tea leaf salad, the shan state cuisines, fresh tofu, mohinga, truly they have all the top hitters. Don't miss this unassuming dine in spot, the food is not only absolutely bang on, it's also beautifully presented and the staff are wonderful (and handsome).
I went to Bangkok and tried this. The foods I ordered were so delicious. I felt like home. This is authentic Myanmar Shan restaurant. Must try!
A bit on the high end for Shan food but this is Krung Thep . The food was delicious. Service was great. Nice waiters, surprisingly they speak more English then Thai lol
